The Increasingly Harsh Electromagnetic Environment in Industrial Sites
As industrial electrification and intelligence continue to advance, an increasing number of high-power electrical devices (such as kilowatt-level motors, frequency converters, and inverters) are being integrated into industrial process control systems. Consequently, the electromagnetic environment in industrial sites is becoming more complex. In such a challenging electromagnetic environment, how can we improve the anti-interference performance of electric actuators to ensure reliable and stable operation?
To ensure the reliability of electronic controllers and sensors in real-world applications, the IEC has studied and classified the most common and easily coupled electrical interference pulses in industrial sites. They defined typical waveform characteristics such as frequency, period, and amplitude for electrical fast transients (EFT). Before the product is applied to the industrial site, we simulate these common interference waveforms through preliminary testing equipment to conduct anti-interference tests on the product. This can help avoid many interference-related problems in the field and reduce potential quality risks.

EFT Test Results Evaluation
Class A: Within the specified limits, the actuator functions normally without performance degradation.
Class B: Function or performance temporarily lost or reduced; recovery occurs automatically after the disturbance ceases without operator intervention.
Class C: Function or performance temporarily lost or reduced; recovery requires operator intervention after the disturbance ceases.
Class D: Hardware or software damage, or data loss, resulting in irreversible loss of function or performance degradation.
