1.Open vaTestTool_DCL-v1.31.exe.<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t

2.The application will popup a \u201cConnect to\u201d dialog to set the target device id and local computer RS232 port parameters as follow.<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"\"\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

  • <\/i>Choose the COM port which connected to the USB-RS485 connector.<\/i><\/em><\/li>
  • <\/i>Select the modbus baud rate (the default baudrate on DCL actuator now is 9600).<\/i><\/em><\/li>
  • <\/i>Click on <\/i><\/em>\u201c<\/i><\/em>CONNECT<\/i><\/em>\u201d<\/i><\/em>button to connect to the actuator.<\/i><\/em><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    3.Close the \u201cConnect to\u201d windows and now you are in operation windows.<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    • <\/i>Now you can click on <\/i><\/em>\u201c<\/i><\/em>OPEN\/CLOSE\/STOP<\/i><\/em>\u201d<\/i><\/em>button to control the actuator.<\/i><\/em><\/li>
    • <\/i>Your can input in <\/i><\/em>\u201c<\/i><\/em>Set position<\/i><\/em>\u201d<\/i><\/em>text frame and then click on <\/i><\/em>\u201c<\/i><\/em>SET POS<\/i><\/em>\u201d<\/i><\/em>\u00a0button to let actuator drive the valve to the position as you wish.<\/i><\/em><\/li>
    • <\/i>You can click on <\/i><\/em>\u201c<\/i><\/em>4-20mA INPUT<\/i><\/em>\u201d<\/i><\/em>to let the actuator to switch to 4-20mA mode in witch the actuator will ignore the modbus command and make the 4-20mA as position input.<\/i><\/em><\/li>
    • <\/i>You can click on <\/i><\/em>\u201c<\/i><\/em>MONITOR<\/i><\/em>\u201d<\/i><\/em>button to enable or disable monitoring the real actuator positions.<\/i><\/em><\/li>
    • <\/i>The 4 indicators on the top right can show the status of 4-20mA input, modbus, actuator availability.<\/i><\/em><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      \n\t\t\t\t\t

      4.To change the modbus baud rate and ID of actuator, click on the gear icon on the top left then a \u201cconfig\u201d dialog popup.<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"\"\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      • <\/i>Set the value in <\/i><\/em>\u201c<\/i><\/em>Device ID<\/i><\/em>\u201d<\/i><\/em>and <\/i><\/em>\u201c<\/i><\/em>Baudrate<\/i><\/em>\u201d<\/i><\/em>\u00a0in target device group as the current configuration in the actuator.<\/i><\/em><\/li>
      • <\/i>Input the new parameters as you wish in <\/i><\/em>\u201c<\/i><\/em>Set new modbus parameter<\/i><\/em>\u201d<\/i><\/em><\/i><\/li>
      • <\/i>Click on <\/i><\/em>\u201c<\/i><\/em>SET ID<\/i><\/em>\u201d<\/i><\/em>to change the ID without changing baud rate.<\/i><\/em><\/li>
      • <\/i>Click on <\/i><\/em>\u201c<\/i><\/em>SET BAUDRATE<\/i><\/em>\u201d<\/i><\/em>to change the baud rate without changing ID.<\/i><\/em><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
